Clare Valley Accommodation

Attractions

Summer along the Rielsing Trail

Clare Valley has many annual events including Day on the Green, the Races and the famous Gourmet Weekend. While here, don’t forget to visit a few of the cafes and restaurants and wineries; with such a large selection of wineries, there is sure to be a wine to suit any pallet.

For day trips out of Watervale, try Clare, Historic Burra, Mintaro (stop by Martindale Hall Conservation Park or Mintaro Maze), or if you prefer to play Mini Golf, visit their Nursery or cafe, then try Simpson Rices Creek in Auburn.

Being in a natural bush setting, Watervale Retreat not only has Deer, Emus and Alpaca which are happy to be fed by our guests (well maybe not the Deer!), but we also see a lot of local wildlife. Kangaroos, occasional wild deer, possums and an large assortment of birds including Kookaburras, lorikeets, finches, white-winged choughs, magpies and even the occasional owl just to name a few all enjoy the natural environment, making it an ideal location for those who love nature, nature walks, or those that just simply want to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility.

We have a few Conservation Parks in the Clare Valley;
Red Banks Conservation Park just past Burra
Spring Gully Conservation Park in Clare
